Human trafficking is the business of buying and selling human beings through force, fraud or coercion. This means stealing and selling another person's freedom for profit. The two main forms of human trafficking are sex trafficking and labor trafficking.
Globally, human trafficking is a multibillion-dollar business. Hidden in plain sight, human traffickers thrive by tricking victims with lies of "easy fast cash" and "a better life." While Florida and Tampa Bay rank high for reports of human trafficking, together we can break the cycle through awareness and action.
